MINNEAPOLIS The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Minnesota Chapter will hold its annual Star Tribune MS TRAM Bike Tour July 22 to 27. This year the five-day bike tour will take cyclists through Minnesota’s northern lake country. Participants who register before Friday, June 22, receive $25 off registration. After June 22, the registration fee is $75. The minimum pledge is $300.

The Star Tribune MS TRAM Bike Tour starts Sunday, July 22, in Walker, Minn. Event participants start cycling Monday, traveling along the Heartland Trail and complete the first leg of the journey in Park Rapids, Minn. Day two features a loop through Itasca State Park, past the headwaters of the Mississippi River and back to Park Rapids for a second night. Wednesday, July 25, cyclists travel to Wadena, Minn. Thursday participants ride around Otter Tail Lake and into Fergus Falls, Minn. The last leg of the tour takes participants down the Central Lakes Trail as the tour culminates at the Douglas County Fairgrounds in Alexandria, Minn.

The National MS Society, Minnesota Chapter anticipates that more than 1,200 cyclists will ride in the 18th annual Star Tribune MS TRAM and raise more than $1 million to help end the devastating effects of MS.
