MINNEAPOLIS—The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Minnesota Chapter will hold its annual MS River Road Run, a two-day, 600-mile motorcycle tour to help fight multiple sclerosis Aug. 18 to 19. Participants can register online until Aug. 12, or at the event for a registration fee of $50 and a minimum pledge amount of $200.

MS River Road Run starts Saturday, Aug. 18, at the State Capitol in St. Paul. Event participants will travel along the scenic Mississippi River and into Wisconsin before stopping at the overnight site in La Crosse, Wis. The next day the riders finish at MS Camp at Camp Courage in Maple Lake, Minn. MS Camp is a
six-day leisure program for adults living with multiple sclerosis.

The MS River Road Run is fully supported and features meals, suggested fuel stops and mechanical support. In 2006, more than 160 participants raised more than $130,000 to fund programs and services for the estimated 9,000 living with MS in Minnesota and western Wisconsin. A registration fee and $200 minimum pledge are required to participate in the MS River Road Run. For more information or to register, visit http://www.msriverroadrun.com/ or call Allison Wagner at 612-335-7921.
